MIX TECHNOLOGY: GYPSUM TOP MOULD AND BOTTOM MOULD WITH PRE-FORMED MEMBRANE

In the never-ending search for a compromise between production costs and product quality, Bongioanni Stampi in Fossano (Italy) developed a large experience, testing new materials and matching different technologies. In this scope the best results were obtained, indeed. In different applications in Europe and in the world very high quality tiles were achieved using mix moulds.

The use of a bottom mould with resin casting and pre- formed membrane (made-up of a special mixture suitable for electroshock conductivity) combined with a top mould with plaster casting allowed to form a tile with the esthetical features of the plaster mould. The tiles obtained with this technology keep on the top surface - thè visible pari - a perfect aesthetic, a very good product definition and a perfect surface aspect.

The bottom side keeps thè features of a resin mould associated to a pre-formed membrane, with the advantage to reduce production costs.
